Dance Team
Performing and Fundraising with the Detroit Mechanix
The Detroit Mechanix are a Professional Ultimate team representing Detroit in the
American Ultimate Disc League. We play our home games at Ultimate Soccer Arenas
in Pontiac, Michigan. We strive to pack the stadiums with eager fans, run promotional
campaigns in every media source (radio, video, print and web) and live webcast our
games to a world wide audience and are now inviting local dance teams to join us in the
excitement.
Time Out Performances
Dance Schools and Teams in the metro-Detroit community have a performance
opportunity during half-time at Detroit Mechanix games to perform their own jazz or hip
hop routine!
Schools will also perform a time out routine with the Maximum Intensity Dancers, and
Mechanix fans will vote on their favorite schools to come back and perform again for
playoffs.
Fundraising Opportunity
Need to raise money for your next trip? Dancers may partner with The Detroit Mechanix
and sell Ultimate Savings Cards at 20 dollars and will receive 3 dollars back on each for
the dance school. The savings cards are driven by 365Savings.org, and include over
310,000 vendors and household names!
The dancers will have a meeting with the Dance Team coordinator the week of the
performance, to learn the timeout dance and make sure the routines are terrain ready.
